    Q. Can I get a tattoo under the age of 18 with parents or guardians permission?

    A. No, we do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18 years of age. It is illegal. This is in accordance with the 'tattooing of minors act 1969'.

You can absolutely book in for after you turn 18 though!

    Q. Do Tattoos hurt?

    A. We would be lying if we were to say that tattoos didn't hurt. A lot of it comes down to personal pain threshold, however there is a consensus that tattoos are more of a sensation, not pain.

    Q. Does white ink hurt more?

    A. We're debunking the myth of white ink. As a pigment put in via tattoo, white ink doesn't hurt more than any other ink. The reason why people make the association is because the white is done last whilst the area is at it's sorest.

    Q. Will colour tattoos work on darker pigmented skin?

    A. Absolutely! Colour tattoos are for everyone! When working with colour, always seek the artists advice on what colours would suit your skin tone best.

    Q. Can you tattoo over scarring, etc.?

    A. You can absolutely tattoo over scarring however it all depends on how well the skin is healed. As a general rule of thumb, we would recommend the skin having a minimum of a year to settle after the initial damage before considering the tattoo procedure. This time frame will be different for everyone.

    Q. Can you tattoo over birthmarks?

    A. Birthmarks can be tattooed however it's always worth reaching out to your artist to seek their advice depending on the size and condition of the birthmark.

    Q. Can you get a tattoo whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

    A. We will not tattoo you whilst pregnant or breastfeeding. If you were to get an infection whilst you were pregnant or breastfeeding, this could negatively affect your baby, whether it's through your blood or through breastmilk.

Pregnancy also means a lowered immune system, which can lead to a higher risk of infection whilst healing any wounds.

There's no rush for tattoos, we'll be here when you're ready!

    Q. Do you do loyalty cards?

    A. We do! They are only available in store, so when you're down at the studio for your next tattoo appointment, let us know that you'd like one and we can get one sorted for you!

There are rewards to claim for every 3rd stamp you collect, including free aftercare, a free T-shirt, and 20% off your appointment.

    Q. How can I prepare for my tattoo appointment?

    A. There are things that we would recommend to prepare for your tattoo appointment that you can find on the page linked below!

  • Piercings

    Q. Are last minute /on the day appointments available?

    A. Yes! We always share any cancellations/availability we have pop up on the day to our stories on Instagram.

You can turn on post notifications and story notifications to keep in the loop.

    Q. Can you have the consultation and piercing on the same day?

    A. Absolutely! There is enough time to have a look at anatomy, do some planning and do the piercing if you wanted to!

    Q. What's the minimum age for piercings?

    A. The minimum age for select piercings such as the lobe is 8 years of age. To check out the minimum age for each of the piercings that we offer, please check out our pricing page.

    Q. Do you use piercing guns?

    A. Absolutely not! Piercing guns can cause more trauma to the piercing site and they are also not able to be sterilised.

We only use pre-packed, sterilised needles for all piercing procedures which are disposed of straight after one use.

    Q. Can I have a ring in my piercing straight away after getting pierced?

    A. We don't put rings into piercings straight after the piercing has been done. Rings can cause issues during the healing process. They can also allow the possibility of pulling anything that may gather on the ring over time, through the open piercing wound, meaning a risk of infection.

Standard jewellery suited to your anatomy whilst your piercing is healing is the best way to go and once it's fully healed, we can absolutely change your jewellery to a ring for you!

    Q. Can I get a piercing whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

    A. We will not pierce you whilst pregnant or breastfeeding. If you were to get an infection whilst you were pregnant of breastfeeding, this could negatively affect your baby, whether it's through your blood or through breastmilk.

Pregnancy also means a lowered immune system, which can lead to a higher risk of infection whilst healing any wounds.

There's no rush for piercings, we'll be here when you're ready!

  • Aesthetics

    Q. How do I know which treatment to go for?

    A. The consultation is the first step in any treatment plan as it is the perfect opportunity to discuss which areas concern you the most. Then we formulate a treatment plan which targets your specific concerns, and is tailored to your unique facial features. We want to make sure you have all the information you need to make your decision, so we spend lots of time getting to know you and the kind of results you’re aiming for so we can explore the different options before we going ahead with any treatment. If I feel for any reason you may not be suitable for treatment, this will also be discussed at your consultation.

    Q. Do I have to go ahead with treatment?

    A. No! If you decide that aesthetic treatments aren’t for you, or that this isn’t the right time, I’d always encourage you not to go ahead with treatment. Everyone has different circumstances so I always advise my patients not to rush into anything and to take their time after their initial consultation to consider their options.

    Q. Will the treatments hurt?

    A. Most patients tolerate aesthetic treatments really well and are actually pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they can be. My main priority is making sure you feel comfortable and safe, and my gentle approach minimises any potential discomfort. Some areas are more sensitive than others, such as the lips, therefore we can use numbing cream beforehand to reduce this sensitivity. All of our fillers also contain local anaesthetic which provides a numbing effect to make the process more comfortable for you.

    Q. What’s the difference between anti-wrinkle treatment and fillers?

    A. Certain anti-wrinkle treatments work by relaxing specific facial muscles to reduce their movement during particular facial expressions. This has the effect of minimising any associated lines or wrinkles in that area. Commonly treated areas include the forehead, frown lines and crows feet.

However filler is a gel-like substance made of hyaluronic acid, which helps to hydrate, plump or contour the soft tissues of the face. There are different consistencies of filler according to which area of the face we want to treat, and they contain local anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. Commonly treated areas includes the lips, cheek, jawline and chin.

    Q. Are aesthetic treatments addictive?

    A. Absolutely not. Many people decide to have regular treatments because they enjoy the results and the confidence boost it gives them. Unfortunately there are some well publicised cases of individuals who have taken treatments too far, and ended up with a very unnatural result. Over time some people may lose sight of their progress and request more drastic treatments, which is why it is so important to find an aesthetic practitioner who is comfortable saying ‘no’. If I think you’re at risk of taking things too far I will sensitively address this during your consultation. If you decide at any time you want to stop having treatments, there will be no problems or side effects, and your appearance will gradually revert back to how it was before you had any treatments.
